Oftentimes slabs will come with some form of metal fragments inside of them. I have seen car springs, shotgun pellets, nails, and screws to name a few. Each slab has unique opportunities as no two slabs are the same.
Here I patched holes created by the removal of nails and a metal sign post with wenge and claro walnut end grain patches. The results speak for themselves.
